Overview

Linked by the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville as its Swimming Pool and Hot-tub Bylaw, this is By-law 2013-168-RE, the Fence & Pool Enclosure By-law, passed in December 2013 and repealing By-laws 92-90 and 2010-073-RE. It sets fence heights in residential and non-residential areas, sight triangles, privacy screens and outdoor storage screening; its swimming pool section covers enclosure plans and permits, the 1.5 metre enclosure height, chain link and wood construction, self-closing gates and locked substantial covers for above-ground hot tubs and spas. Deviations, existing fences, enforcement and penalty follow.
