Overview

City of Mississauga By-law 0137-2022, which names itself the Mississauga Parkland Conveyance By-law, enacted June 22, 2022 under sections 42, 51.1 and 53 of the Planning Act. It defines terms such as Additional Residential Units, Cash-In-Lieu and CIL Capped Rate, then sets parkland dedication rates by type of development, with formulas for mixed-use sites and credits for earlier conveyances, the appraisal date for cash-in-lieu, timing, exemptions and penalties. Schedule A phases the per-unit CIL Capped Rate from $11,370 up to $33,046 in February 2027.
