Overview

The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville's Property Standards By-law, By-law 2018-049-RE, passed April 3, 2018 and amended November 3, 2020, with its rules and procedures as Attachment 1. Thirty-six sections set standards for the maintenance and occupancy of property, from structural soundness, roofs, plumbing, heating and electrical services to vacant buildings, orders, appeals and penalties. Section 24 adds heritage property standards: repair before replacement of heritage attributes, vacant heritage buildings, and limits on clearing a heritage site. The Town's Designated Heritage Properties and Heritage Conservation Districts pages both link it.
