Overview

The companion guidelines to the wet weather flow management policy Council adopted in September 2003, issued by Toronto Water in November 2006 with a letter to readers from the Director of Water Infrastructure Management. They set the interim hierarchical principles and land-based targets and criteria for water balance, water quality — total suspended solids and E. coli — and water quantity, covering flood flow, erosion control, erosion and sediment control during construction and discharge to municipal infrastructure, then lot level source controls including green roofs and rainwater harvesting.
