Overview

The City of Hamilton's city-wide tree protection guidelines for privately owned land, revised October 2010 by the Community Planning and Design Section for landowners and developers in Planning Act or Niagara Escarpment Plan permit applications. Four steps run from a general vegetation inventory, through a tree protection plan with its tree inventory chart and map, to implementation, with hoarding, a verification of tree protection letter, a post-grading tree maintenance report and security deposits, and a landscape plan with 1 for 1 tree replacement. Native and invasive species lists close it.
