Overview

The City of Hamilton's Swimming Pool Enclosure By-law No. 16-184, repealing and replacing By-law 03-125, in two printings: the by-law as passed on June 22, 2016, and the office consolidation updated January 23, 2023, which incorporates amending By-law 22-059. It covers definitions, permits for pools and enclosures, enclosure height and openings, landscape ponds, gates, walls, above-ground pools, temporary enclosures and construction of chain link, wood, glass panel and other fences, then administration, fees, inspections, orders and penalties.
