Drawing Review

Review the design against the code.

Identify potential code issues in drawings and permit packages, with findings linked to the relevant requirements and their sources.

A ground floor plan with its grid lines, rooms, doors and dimensions

A real plan, with nothing drawn over it.

Two modes

On the sheet while you design. On the full submission before it goes in.

Design mode

For architects, designers and engineers. It reads the sheet in front of you, as often as you like, and pins each potential issue on the element it is about.

Package mode

For permit preparation and plan review. It reads the drawings and documents of a permit package and lists each potential issue in a report that goes with the submission.

Findings

Each finding names the requirement not met, with its source.

The requirementAs the code states it.
What was read from the drawingThe value, and where on the sheet it sits.
The sourceThe article it comes from, with its Code Card one click away.

When it cannot tell, it says so.

When a drawing does not carry the value a check needs, Drawing Review says so rather than invent a number or a clause.

Findings are for the professional to assess. Approval stays with the building official. BlinKode does not guarantee compliance or a permit, and is not legal advice.
