Overview

Markham's Sign By-law 2002-94, passed May 28, 2002, consolidated to April 2024 with amending By-law 2024-51, which adds a section on administrative penalties. Markham's zoning and heritage pages link it, the heritage page noting that the heritage districts are Special Sign Districts under Section 10. It covers sign permits and applications, sign uniformity plans, signs exempt from permits, prohibited signs, ground, wall and projecting signs, Tables A to E by zone, portable and banner signs, development and election signs, posters, variances and enforcement, with mapped Schedules B to K.
