The stairs and stairwells zoning information sheet the City of Mississauga publishes on its additions and new houses page — the companion to the sheet carried on its basement entrances and second units page, drawn from the same illustration. Under Zoning By-law 225-2007 it prints articles 4.1.5.8 and 4.1.5.8.1 on stairs, stairwells and retaining walls that facilitate an entrance below grade, the 1.2 m minimum setbacks to the interior side and rear lot lines, the 0.61 m exit stair encroachment with a maximum of three risers, and notes on greenbelt setbacks, decks and lot coverage.
