Overview

The City of Richmond Hill's Site Alteration By-law, By-law 47-25, passed under section 142 of the Municipal Act, 2001 to regulate placing or dumping fill, removing topsoil and altering grade, and linked from the city's site alteration permit page. It sets out general prohibitions and exclusions, permit applications, the criteria and conditions the Commissioner applies, permit expiry, renewal and transfer, orders and penalties. Its schedules list site alterations not needing a permit, the documents by permit type, erosion and tree protection measures, and security. It repeals By-law 166-07.
