This is the City of Markham’s document, as published on its website on 18 October 2026. The municipality may have changed it since: check the current version at the source. Legal notice
Markham's Pool Enclosure By-law 2015-96, a by-law to regulate the enclosures for privately-owned outdoor pools, passed June 15 and 16, 2015, repealing the earlier By-law 59-75, and linked from Markham's by-laws and fences and swimming pools pages. It covers pool permits from the Chief Building Official, pool water discharge, temporary and permanent enclosures, fence and gate construction, hot tub covers and other partial exemptions, work orders, fees and offences. Schedules A to D set heights and clearances and the wood, metal and chain link fence specifications.
DocHub collects what a municipality published; it cannot tell you what is in force today. A newer version may exist, may be titled differently, or may not be posted publicly at all.
