Overview

The City of Hamilton Building Division's water service pipe sizing form for buildings containing more than one dwelling unit, the counterpart to its one-dwelling-unit form. It states the conditions under which its tables apply: minimum water pressure of 200 kPa at the entry to the building, total maximum water system length of 90 m, and hydraulic loads for maximum separate demands. A fixture-by-fixture table totals the hydraulic load in fixture units, a second pairs that load with pipe size at 2.4 m/s water velocity, and the designer signs with BCIN.

What it covers

  • Part 1 - Hydraulic Load (Fixture Unit Calculation)
  • Part 2 - Sizing of Water Service Pipe
  • Part 3 - Design of Water Service Pipe
