Overview

The implementation guidelines for Brampton's Development Charges Incentive Program — the Central Area Community Improvement Plan tool under which the city pays or refunds its own portion of development charges for new construction or adaptive reuse in the downtown and Queen Street corridor secondary plan areas. They trace the program back to the 1,150-unit "financial incentives for new development" program of the 2000 CIP, then set the guiding principles, eligibility, the scoring criteria weighing location, type, quality, public benefit and innovation, financing, time limits, the application process and council reporting.
