Overview

The City of Markham's Application for a Certified Model, a one-page form prescribed by the Chief Building Official under the City of Markham Building By-law, dated February 24, 2026, filled in for each builder's model. It records the subdivision and plan number, model name, detached or semi-detached type, elevation, gross floor area, construction value, bedrooms, finished basement, walkout, deck, loft and garage type, then the applicant, the owner where different, and the builder with its HCRA registration number. It notes that a certified model is not itself a building permit.

What it covers
