Overview

The City of Markham's Building and Land Use Declaration, a four-page declaration of use dated February 2025 for non-residential building permit applications in new and existing industrial, commercial, public and institutional buildings and units, completed by the owner or tenant. It records the proposed business and its activities, then a questionnaire on retail and wholesale sales, outdoor storage, display and patios, repairs and food sales, with definitions. Later parts cover storage of commodities and hazardous or dangerous materials and processes, and end in a declaration.
