Overview

The Town of Markham's Two Unit House Declaration, a one-page statutory declaration sworn before a commissioner that two residential units existed at a property on November 16, 1995, the date for grandfathering under Bill 20. The declarant ticks their role, from owner or tenant to contractor, and the evidence attached, such as rent cheques, leases or utility bills. A two-page public information guide on inspecting and registering two-unit houses follows, written under the earlier By-law 308-97 with fees that differ from those on Markham's registration page today.
