The City of Mississauga Planning and Building Department's design checklist for a public spa, based on Ontario Regulation 203/24 Section 3.12 and prepared, in its own words, for purposes of convenience only. A header block takes the file number, major occupancy, owner and design professional. Each row then pairs an Ontario Building Code reference with the design item and complies and not-applicable columns: spa and deck construction, water depth and bottom slope, deck clearances, ramps and transfer walls, water circulation and turnover periods, anti-entrapment covers, emergency lighting and stop buttons, and chlorine service rooms.

What it covers

  • Public spa and deck design and construction requirements
  • Ramps and access into public spas
  • Water circulation systems
  • Emergency provisions
  • Service rooms and storage facilities
Check this against the municipality before you rely on it. DocHub collects what a municipality published; it cannot tell you what is in force today. A newer version may exist, may be titled differently, or may not be posted publicly at all.
