Overview

The City of Markham's Transportation Demand Management Plan Terms of Reference, June 2023, developed jointly by York Region and its municipalities and listed on the Guidelines and Terms of Reference page. A TDM plan sets out measures that encourage travel other than driving alone and support a development's modal split, trip reduction and parking assumptions. The terms explain who prepares it and its contents: surrounding context and existing TDM opportunities, then measures for planning and design, walking and cycling, transit, parking, carshare and bikeshare, wayfinding and promotion.
