Overview

The City of Richmond Hill's terms of reference for a Noise and Vibration Study, last updated June 2025, prepared by a professional engineer qualified in acoustical engineering. It sets out the noise impact study — guidelines applied, transportation and stationary sources, traffic and sound power data, receptor selection, low-frequency noise, unmitigated and mitigated forecasts — and a vibration study where applicable. Mitigation covers indoor architectural and ventilation measures, sound barriers and warning clauses under Section C8 of NPC-300. York Region municipalities developed the terms jointly.
