Filed on the city's website only as "Chapter 973 of the City Municipal Code," this chapter's own text says it may be known as the Fence By-law. It sets maximum fence heights by yard and property type, bans barbed wire and electrical fencing outside stated exceptions, and sets swimming pool enclosure standards, including gate self-closing and self-latching requirements and chain-link construction tables by property type. Its own text repeals By-laws 131-76, 950, 1111 and 1125, and it lists over a dozen site-specific height exemptions for named properties. Consolidated with amendments spanning 1990 through 2021.
