The City of Brampton's Additional Residential Unit (ARU) Registration By-law, numbered 157-2022, office-consolidated with the amendments made by By-law 70-2023 and repealing By-law 87-2015. It defines an attached ARU, a garden suite, a principal dwelling, and two-unit and three-unit dwellings, names the chief building official as registrar, and sets a $200 registration fee for each unit. Later parts cover refusal and revocation against the Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, Electrical Safety Code and the city's zoning and property standards by-laws, inspection, orders, fines and service of documents.
