The City of Markham's comprehensive zoning by-law, enacted under section 34 of the Planning Act and numbered 2024-19, though its own text says it may be referred to as the City of Markham Zoning By-law. It establishes the city's zones, sets general provisions applying across them, and collects definitions in Part 3.0. Its own Section 1.5 lists dozens of predecessor area-specific zoning by-laws it supersedes, among them By-law 19-94, the Buttonville Core Area By-law. This office consolidation reads as current to July 20, 2026; the extract used here ends partway through Part 3.0, well before the zone-specific parts.
