The City of Markham's certificate testing a building's emergency source of power — battery pack or generator — and the life-safety equipment it feeds, among them the fire alarm system, voice communication system, exit signs, emergency lighting, fire pumps and pressurization fans. For a generator, it records the fuel type, tank size and capacity, confirms power is restored to the connected systems within 15 seconds, and confirms electrical supervision on the fire alarm control panel. The installer and building owner or representative sign, certifying testing to the CSA and/or ULC listing.

Check this against the municipality before you rely on it. DocHub collects what a municipality published; it cannot tell you what is in force today. A newer version may exist, may be titled differently, or may not be posted publicly at all.
