The City of Markham's Builder Tip No. 30, dated January 1, 2025, on fire doors in non-housing buildings, filed with the City's non-housing tips under the 2024 Ontario Building Code. It quotes Article 3.1.8.17., Temperature Rise Limit for Doors, Article 3.1.8.18. on area limits for wired glass, glass block and safety glazing, and Article 3.1.8.19. on when those limits are waived for a closure between an exit enclosure and a 45 min vestibule. Its objective contrasts fire protection rating with temperature rise and refers to a table of door locations.
