Overview
Markham's Builder Tip Issue No. 28, dated January 1, 2025 and updated to the 2024 Ontario Building Code, on the floor between a garage and the heated room above it, filed with the City's housing tips. It quotes Article 9.25.3.1. on the air barrier and Article 9.25.4.1. on the vapour barrier. The Objective compares batt insulation with a warm-side vapour barrier against spray-in-place foam, which also acts as the air barrier, and credits spray foam with fewer cold-floor complaints to the City.
