Overview

Builder Tip No. 18 of the City of Markham Building Standards Department, dated January 1, 2025, filed with the City's non-housing tips under the 2024 Ontario Building Code; a separate tip covers the visibility and illumination of exit signs. It quotes Article 3.4.5.1., Exit Signage, on buildings over 2 storeys or 150 occupants, green and white pictogram signs to ISO 3864-1 and ISO 7010 symbols E001 to E006, directional signs, assembly rooms over 60 and hotels.
