The rough-in inspection for the plumbing trade, distinct from Markham's plumbing final information sheet for the same trade at completion and from its separate plumbing drains-and-sewers sheet: it is conducted with the framing inspection, once heating and electrical work are also complete. It confirms the drainage, venting and water distribution systems operate properly ahead of occupancy. A provincially qualified building inspector reviews materials and equipment, piping, testing of systems, traps, cleanouts, slope and length of drainage pipe, stack vents, and vent pipes.

What it covers

  • Materials and Equipment
  • Piping
  • Testing of Drainage, Venting and Potable Water Systems
  • Traps
