The provincial Greenbelt Plan in its 2017 consolidation, approved by the Lieutenant Governor in Council as an amendment effective July 1, 2017, and linked by the City of Toronto from the glossary of terms in its development guide. Ninety-eight pages set out the vision and goals for the Protected Countryside and Urban River Valley, the geographic-specific policies for the agricultural system, natural system, parkland and settlement areas, then general policies on non-agricultural uses, infrastructure, natural resources, cultural heritage, existing uses and lot creation.
