Toronto Green Standard Version 4.0 · Zoning Bylaw 569-2013

Overview

The June 2026 interim checklist for version 4.0 of the Toronto Green Standard, covering mid to high rise residential and all new non-residential development. It follows the same five sections as the earlier Tier 1 checklist, but replaces the asterisk convention with a mandatory or voluntary column against every performance measure, naming the application each one attaches to — site plan control, zoning bylaw amendment or draft plan of subdivision. Greenhouse gas emissions limits and building energy performance are both marked voluntary on this version.
