The City of Brampton's Woodlot Conservation By-law, numbered 316-2012, the companion to the Tree Preservation By-law and the one that applies to woodlots rather than to individual trees on private land. It rests on the Region of Peel's delegation of its upper-tier authority to the city under subsection 135(8) of the Municipal Act, and repeals By-law 402-2005. Its ten parts run from definitions and prohibitions through exemptions, permits and applications to orders, enforcement, penalties and general provisions, mirroring the tree by-law's structure.
