The City of Brampton's guidelines for assessing tableland trees through the planning process. They set the tree compensation ratios by trunk diameter, from 1:1 at 7 to 19 centimetres dbh up to 15:1 at 150 to 159 centimetres, the $650 per tree cash-in-lieu rate, and the city's planting standards for boulevards, parks, valley and woodland buffers and stormwater ponds. Three assessments are then detailed: the vegetation assessment report at block plan stage, the tree evaluation report for subdivisions and site plans, and the tree preservation plan at detailed design.
