Overview

Brampton's guidelines for a woodland management plan — the plan prepared for each woodland block before draft plan approval where development is within or beside a woodland, forming part of the subdivision agreement. Its minimum requirements cover woodland evaluation, development opportunities and constraints including emerald ash borer infestation, the tree retention zone of crown, rooting area, area of influence and buffer, perimeter fencing placement, woodland edge planting, and objectives split between developer and city. Four appendices carry woodland development criteria, specifications, details and management guidance.
