NPC-300 Environmental Noise Guideline – Stationary and Transportation Sources – Approval and Planning

Overview

Brampton's terms of reference for a noise study — the analysis of noise reaching a proposed development from transportation and stationary sources nearby, and of the sound the development projects onto surrounding land uses. The city links it as a noise/vibration study; the document prints the shorter name. Five content sections cover applicable limits, identification of sources, road, rail, vibration and air traffic noise, and stationary noise on adjacent and on-site receptors. Figures include a NEF/NEP map; appendices carry STAMSON calculations and window and mechanical brochures.
