Overview

Brampton's terms of reference for a planning justification report (PJR) — the professional planning rationale for a development proposal, showing how it conforms to applicable policy and good planning principles. Seven sections run from a proposal overview with planning history and previous approvals, through site and area context, development statistics, a policy analysis against the Planning Act, provincial policy and secondary plans, a housing analysis where fifty or more units are proposed, to appendices, maps and the pre-consultation letter. A shorter planning brief may stand in for simpler proposals.
