Overview

Chapter 6.0 of the City of Toronto Transportation Services road engineering design guidelines, version 1.1.1, on sizing curb radii at intersection corners. Written after a 2014 review of the division's standards against the Transportation Association of Canada geometric design guide and North American practice, it defines constrained corners, sets the design controls of intersection corner type, truck turn type and vehicle speed, fixes vehicle starting and ending positions and envelope clearances, and supplies design methodology, vehicle dimensions, truck turn type and large truck percentage maps and curb radii design tables.
