Overview

Mississauga's Green Development Standard guidebook for institutional and commercial development, such as offices, schools, care facilities and retail. Prepared for the City by Sustainability Solutions Group, revised January 2025, it covers the GDS scope and exemptions, the submission steps through the Site Plan Application process on ePlans, and the Tier 1 mandatory metrics in five themes. Energy targets are split between office and institutional buildings and all other commercial uses, and this guidebook adds an electric vehicle infrastructure metric. The institutional and commercial Developer Checklist is completed from it.
