One of the City of Mississauga's design reference notes, covering the screening of roof top mechanical equipment through the site plan application review. It ranks three methods — a continuous parapet integral to the building, opaque enclosures around clustered units, and a dedicated roof top equipment room for buildings more than four storeys — and defines visibility from the opposite curb, adjacent open space and nearby neighbourhoods. Sight line diagrams are drawn from standing height at the highest point of the opposite curb, and non-powered installations are treated the same way as powered units.
