Guidelines for New Development in Proximity to Railway Operations

Overview

Mississauga's terms of reference for a Rail Assessment Report, Version 1.0 dated January 15, 2025, from the Planning and Building Department, prepared as part of a wider Land Use Compatibility Study where sensitive uses are proposed near rail lines. It lists the applications it can support, from Official Plan amendments to minor variances, and the report's contents: rail impacts on new sensitive uses, STEAM noise modelling in STAMSON, a week of train operations data, and the 300m noise and 75m vibration distances from the May 2013 railway proximity guidelines.
