Overview

One of the City of Mississauga's design reference notes, covering the two types of outdoor amenity space in multi-unit residential development. It opens with Zoning By-law 0225-2007's definition of amenity area, then universal design standards: a central location, visual and physical access to an interior common area, a balance of sun and shade, CPTED principles, a 3.0 m landscaped buffer and a raised 15.0 cm curb. Separate children's and senior's sections carry the tot lot, play area and hard surface court sizes and the 5.6 m2 per dwelling unit calculation.
