One of the City of Mississauga's design reference notes, developed with the Mississauga Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design advisory committee and endorsed by council on November 26, 1997. It covers noise walls along rail lines and the opportunity a blank flat surface offers for graffiti: precast concrete, concrete block, brick or approved composite materials to a maximum height of 2.4 m, ribbed panels and accent banding across the first 2.0 m, then berming at a 3:1 slope and a named list of hardy shrub species mass planted along the base.
