The energy efficiency design summary a designer uses to show that a house's energy efficiency design meets the Building Code by the performance or other acceptable compliance methods in subsections 3.1.2. and 3.1.3. of SB-12 — the companion to Toronto's prescriptive-method summary. It records the compliance option chosen, climatic zone, heating fuel and equipment efficiency, window-to-wall ratio, insulation and mechanical ratings, then annual energy consumption against the SB-12 reference building package, the simulation software used, and the airtightness baseline. A guide and the reference air leakage rates follow.
