Section 1.1 of Mississauga Zoning By-law 0225-2007, the administrative half of Part 1. Twenty-four subsections set the by-law's title and municipal boundaries, describe base zone symbols, exception zone schedules and the holding symbol, and give the rules for measuring setbacks and yards and for reading zone boundaries along centrelines, lot lines and closed streets. Further subsections name the zoning administrator, describe the certificate of occupancy, and list the four predecessor by-laws — 5500, 1227, 65-30 and 1965-136 — that this by-law repealed.
