Overview

The City of Hamilton's Co-ordinated Street Furniture Guidelines, the final report of August 2015 prepared by MMM Group Limited for a unified street furniture program. It covers transit shelters, litter and recycling receptacles, benches, multi-publication structures, wayfinding and poster kiosks, bicycle racks and cigarette receptacles; defines pedestrian zones and their typical configurations; addresses the use of advertising; and gives selection and placement criteria for each furniture element, drawing on City guidance such as its Barrier Free Design Guidelines (2006).
