Overview

Hamilton's Development Application Guidelines sheet for an Agricultural Impact Assessment, a study evaluating the potential impacts of non-agricultural development on agricultural operations and the agricultural system, which may be requested for development in or near the City's rural area. It sets out the preparer's degrees and experience, notes that scope is settled through Formal Consultation, and points to OMAFRA's Agricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) Guidance Document for the content: the January 2026 version in the current edition, last updated February 17, 2026, and the March 2018 draft in the earlier one.
