Overview

Guidelines for the design of tall buildings in Downtown Hamilton, prepared by SvN with the City's Planning and Economic Development Department and marked Final Draft on the cover. A companion to the Downtown Hamilton Tall Buildings Study, they cover a study area much like the Downtown Secondary Plan area and address character areas such as James and King Streets, the Gore and the Main Street and York Boulevard corridors, contextual considerations from heritage to views, building base, tower and tower top articulation, and the public realm interface, including wind effects.
