Overview

Hamilton's Development Application Guidelines sheet for an Affordable Housing Report / Rental Conversion Assessment, a study that may accompany a Planning Act application to convert or demolish rental units. The current edition, last updated February 20, 2026, addresses lands in the Downtown Hamilton Secondary Plan area where the Rental Housing Protection By-law 24-109 does not apply; the earlier edition, Appendix "B1" to Report PED22112(d), also set out a tenant consultation record and analysis. Both list the rental information it holds, from rent rolls to a replacement plan.
