Overview
The Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks' design criteria, version 2.0 of May 5, 2023, for alterations to municipal sewage collection and stormwater systems authorized under an Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA), linked from Hamilton's Municipal Systems Alterations page. It sets minimum design criteria for sanitary sewers, forcemains, combined sewers, storm sewers and third pipe collection systems, from design flows, pipe diameters and velocities to maintenance holes and catch basins, then documentation and inspection, leakage, deflection and hydrostatic testing, with appendices on source water protection.
