Overview

The City of Hamilton's October 2022 Development Application Guidelines for an Urban Design Report and Design Review Panel Summary and Response, Appendix "B40" to Report PED22112(d). It describes the Urban Design Report, also called an Urban Design Brief, as the design rationale for a proposal under the Urban and Rural Hamilton Official Plans, lists its sections and drawings, and names the Design Priority Areas reviewed by the Design Review Panel. The City also posts a February 2026 Urban Design Report/Brief guideline.
