Overview

The City of Hamilton Public Works Department's Park and Open Space Development Guide, June 2015, revised April 2020, on creating parks and open spaces through plans of subdivision. It explains park classification and open space types, then compares two options, step by step from development review to construction and assumption: the developer completing minimum requirements before the City builds the park, or the developer building it under a financing agreement. Appendices give drawing and submission standards, playground, spray pad and trail standards, tree species and detail drawings.
