Overview

Hamilton's Development Application Guidelines for a Farm Economics Report, in a February 19, 2026 edition and an October 2022 edition issued as Appendix "B13" to Report PED22112(d). The report supports a Consent Application, and Official Plan or Zoning By-law applications, where a severance is proposed on rural lands for agricultural uses. It quotes the three tests of Rural Hamilton Official Plan Policy F.1.14.2.2 d): a commercially viable farm operation, and flexibility to change, diversify and intensify production; names an agrologist or agronomist as preparer; and mentions a possible peer review.
